1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing and using this website ("Site"), operated by Wisconsin Title Connect, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Site.
2. Service Description
Wisconsin Title Connect is NOT a lender. Wisconsin Title Connect is not a direct lender, a loan broker, or an agent of any lender. We are a free, independent matching service that connects consumers with licensed third-party lenders who may offer title loans. We do not make credit decisions, fund loans, or determine your specific loan terms. Submitting your information on this website does not guarantee that you will be connected with a lender or approved for a loan. We provide a free service to connect consumers with lenders who may offer short-term loans. We do not make credit decisions, set loan terms, or charge fees to consumers.
3. Not a Lender
The actual lender is responsible for all aspects of the loan, including the application process, approval, funding, and collections. Loan terms, including APR, fees, and repayment terms, are set solely by the lender.
4. No Guarantee of Approval
Submitting a loan request through our Site does not guarantee that you will be matched with a lender or approved for a loan. Approval is at the sole discretion of the lender and depends on the information you provide and the lender's underwriting criteria.
5. Credit Checks and Reporting
Participating lenders within our network may perform credit checks or verify your information through national databases (such as Equifax, Experian, TransUnion, or alternative providers) to determine your creditworthiness and eligibility. By submitting your request, you consent to allow lenders to verify your information and check your credit. By submitting your information, you authorize lenders to verify your information and perform credit checks as permitted by law.
6. APR Disclosure
The APR on a title loan represents the annualized cost of borrowing. In Wisconsin, there is no statutory limit on the APR lenders can charge prior to maturity. APRs on title loans are generally high and are intended for short-term financial emergencies, not long-term solutions. You will be provided with full disclosures of your APR and all loan costs by your lender before you are obligated to sign any agreement.
7. Financial Responsibility
Short-term loans should be used for short-term financial needs only, not as a long-term financial solution. Borrowers with credit difficulties should seek credit counseling. You are responsible for carefully reviewing the loan agreement provided by the lender before accepting any loan offer.
8. State Regulations
Loan availability, terms, and regulations vary by state. Not all lenders operate in all states. State laws change frequently. The information provided on this website is for informational purposes and may not reflect the most current Wisconsin legal developments. In Wisconsin, title loans are governed by Wis. Stat. § 138.16, which caps loans at $25,000 or 50% of the vehicle's retail value, with original terms up to 6 months. Wisconsin does not cap the interest rate prior to maturity. Title loans are an expensive form of credit and are not recommended for long-term financial problems.
9. Limitation of Liability
Wisconsin Title Connect shall not be liable for any damages arising from the use of this Site or any loan obtained through a lender connected via our service. All information is provided "as is" without warranty.
